@GordonIanArmst1@Boshanko When i was a kid and dad took me to roker for the first time, you were playing in a holding mid roll, and I remember he told me before the game, "watch and learn from Armstrong" look how he uses his body to protect the ball, look how he's constantly looking around the pitch
@boroshaun1971@bernieslaven@TallentireMedia Thank you Shaun, it really does mean a lot when people say kind words about my dad. He was my best mate as well as the best dad I could wish for. I'd give anything to just spend 1 more minute with him.
@bernieslaven@TallentireMedia@boroshaun1971 My dad's said to me on numerous occasions how much he enjoyed playing alongside you. I remember him saying Bernie had the talent, but he was clever as well, that's why he was so good.
@paulatk65887498@DrSnowdon I might be wrong, but I'm sure I remember my dad telling me that him and Chris said to each other, if we don't score or conced, we can stop that young Atkinson lad from coming on!! Haha! Only kidding Paul. How you keeping marra?
@10onegaryrowel1@paulbaz10@Liangshanpotv@JamesCopley_ He absolutely did not move on at his own request! He was devastated, he was told by Ashurst that he wasn't wanted and wouldn't play whilst he was manager and was told he was free to find another club. He never once ever even thought about leaving sunderland.
@MarksyNUFC@KeithPa02244627@Truemana3388 @SAFCCR The mags showed respect and humility for my dad at the derby, iv seen and received hundreds of respectful messages and condolences from them, out of the hundreds of messages and comments the mag fans have posted for dad, iv only seen 1 or 2 disrespectful ones.
@kevcleg@dylan__wade Are you proud of that comment? Did it make you feel like a big man? Would you still say the same thing about my dad if you were looking me in the face? How would it make you feel if you read something like this about your Dad?
@BackPageShop Thank you very much mate, it really is appreciated. Me and my brother are so proud of him because he was the best dad we could ever wish for, doing what he did for our club is just a massive bonus and made it even more of a privilege to be able to say that I'm his son.
@JamesCopley_ just listend to the podcast and wanted to say thank you so much to you, Richard, Phill and Rob, for an amazing tribute to my dad. It really does help listening to the lovely stories and kind words about my dad. Thank you mate. How's beautiful little George getting on mate?
