I’m reaching out to see if Zack Werenski might be available to speak with our students at Hanby Elementary in Westerville. Our students recently completed a unit where they wrote letters to Olympic athletes, and several athletes kindly wrote back.

including scooter hockey and air hockey, a torch relay, luge, bobsled, and curling. Meeting a professional hockey player who won a 🥇medal would truly bring their learning full circle.
As Westerville is also a community partner with the Blue Jackets, your time and consideration.

It has been such an inspiring experience for them.
We would love the opportunity for our students to hear from an accomplished athlete in person. During this unit, they also participated in a variety of Olympic-themed activities in gym class

It’s been such a fun few days in the gym teaching cardio drumming to the kids. They have really enjoyed the lessons. A huge thank you Westerville Education Foundation for our grant and Mrs.Fortman for team teaching with me :)
