Tiptoeing back into Twitter.
Threads didn’t happen, did it.
And Instagram just wants to sell me “dad-bod t-shirts” and tickets to gigs for obscure indie bands touring 20th year anniversaries of their one good album*.
(*tbf the algorithm has got me bang on with that one…)
@ITVRugby Just the glimpses of some of those players reminds you how many BILLION miles away we are from that 2003 final team in terms of player-for-player quality / talent. How has it gone so wrong with so much cash at the RFU!? Madness.
The team took an “error” (not theirs) and turned it into an elegant “teach moment” (when no one around them was behaving close to elegantly).
Sharing another fascinating insight into our history, all through the wonderful IWM collection 😊👏
This is a brilliant Tweet. Take a look at the whole thread.
Not just because it’s interesting (but it is!).
But it’s an EXCELLENT example of a museum staying true to its values, telling the story of its collection, and staying cool on social media.
A thread 🧵 #museumcomms
We’ve now looked into the catalogue description for AYY 238/2 and can confirm it was incorrectly labelled. As can be seen in this image, the original record from the War Office supplied with the film in 1942 does incorrectly label the aircraft in the film as Spitfires. <1/2>
But they also shared the record, and it’s so rich with detail. Fascinating.
And they explained that errors happened because These 'dope sheets' were usually filled out by cameramen from the Army Film and Photographic Unit (AFPU) who were often working under pressure.”

@elslariks It’s just constantly changing. I do think it depends on where you’re staying. We’re northwest and it’s not too bad, the northeast seems most badly affected. But it’s so hard as these things change so fast.
With the family in #Corfu - staying on the north of the island, about 25km from the fires. Have to say that at the moment, nothing majorly affected where we are in Sidari. But *very* hard to get accurate information about the fires here.
Media reports rolling the Rhodes fires into the same bulletin (600 miles apart) hasn’t helped getting any clarity. “Greece is on fire” is an easy news headline but v different situations in Corfu to Rhodes
