What would you add?
It's okay to stop...
Its okay to slow down.
Its okay to take a break.
I go at whatever pace my life dictates.
Sometimes you fly, sometimes you crawl.
Protect your mental health at all costs.
Don't let anybody tell you otherwise.
Just don't give up and come back stronger.
Taboo subject: We all die…
- We all get sick
- We all get old
Life is so precious and so short.
What legacy do you want to leave?
What difference do you want to make?
Let’s make the most of what time we have before it’s too late.
We always have a choice.
Whatever life sends our way we can choose to...
- Be Negative
- Get angry
- Complain
- Moan
None of this will help you or the people around you.
What will help you is...
- Learning
- Acceptance
- Taking action
We can always choose to grow.
My Mum past away this morning...
The call that I had been dreading came in the early hours from the care home where she was staying.
I have agonized over this post and even whether to say anything at all...
I loved her dearly and we were so close and she has been a big part of my life.
Two years ago my Mum had a major stroke that changed her life overnight.
She had only celebrated her 70th birthday the previous month and was having the best years of her life living in an assisted community.
She was very active, full of life and ran the social events for the home and loved living there.
Ever since she has been living in a care home, in & out of hospital often, bed bound, needing twenty four hour care & has to be fed through a tube.
I have spent many hours sat at her bedside holding her hand and watching hours of daytime TV together.
This gave her comfort and was also a massive comfort for me too.
She was such a beautiful, loving & caring person and lived for her family.
Whenever I have had any issues in my life she has always been there for me and even let me stay with her years ago when I had a marriage breakup.
It gives me comfort that she passed away peacefully and was in no pain.
This is of course a sad post to write I also I want it to be positive message too...
As I have got older the more I realise that life is so short and so very precious and I believe the most important thing you can do is...
Live your life and do the things that you love with the people that you love.
One day it will all be gone and it will happen sooner than you want.
This is Mum in happier times at her 70th Birthday.
You are now at peace my beautiful Mum❤️xx

How to set yourself up for success in life...
I realised years ago that you cannot control the outcome of anything...
What you can control is...
- Your behaviours
- Your actions
- Your words
- You habits
Focus on these things and you have a far higher likelihood of success.
It's okay to...
- Say No
- Just breath
- Ask for help
- Not be okay
- Be exhausted
- Get some rest
- Have bad days
- Make mistakes
- Ditch toxic people
- Find some balance
It's okay to protect our mental health at all costs.
What would you add?
My Mum used to say if you can’t say something kind say nothing at all.
Now I have kids of my own I realise she was so right.
You never know what someone has going on in their life
Less toxicity…
More love & kindness.
