How can anyone who has watched the cubs this season or last think that Craig Counsel is a good Manager, he’s lost us way more games than he’s helped us in, his decision making and situational awareness is awful, and sitting shaw and caissie today was just the tip of the iceberg.

@BleacherNation Castro is a good pickup some solid bullpen arms and a BIG maybe on if soroka can step up but these moves don’t get us deep in October not getting a solid starter just ruins the entire deadline for us. Our front office just never seems to be in win now mode

@capihood @CMath14 Both would be very solid pickups but we will see tomorrow at 5. I know we aren’t getting Mason miller but he would be a fantastic add to this team as well just wish we had a front office that would target a big piece like him. Even though he’s underperforming he’s got great stuff

@capihood @CMath14 I know but it’s just demoralizing when we have teams with such promise and you see other contenders going all in and we just sit back and are fine with being middle of the pack. As a top 4 market in the league we should be contenders every year just disappointing.

@capihood @CMath14 Not bad pickups but for a top team in the league who can genuinely contend in the playoffs we need to capitalize on this opportunity. Kittredge is a good pickup depending on the return but just him and soroka doesn’t help us get past the dodgers mets or brewers in October.
