These technologies want to occupy more of our time while arguing they will somehow give us more freedom
@TaylorLorenz@robbietweets AI assistants can be useful. The current iteration being pushed by big tech is designed to create dependence and gather as much data as possible for profit. We want more free time, but not at the cost of being controlled by tech oligarchs. That doesn’t seem very “free” to me.
@JessicaLBurbank Genius comparison. Calling it an experiment even though it very clearly doesn’t work as advertised. Its true intentions are just to make corporate profit and take advantage of all workers involved.
