More than half of the experts on the UK government’s advisory panel on nutrition have links to the food industry, a BMJ analysis found.

There's a big difference between "speaking up" & "calling out". This is so relevant in the context of building psychological safety & addressing issues & concerns within teams. ‘Speak up’ cultures enable people to get under the surface of issues; to feel & be heard. ‘Call out’ cultures shut down open & honest communication, breeding fear & discontent. When things go wrong, there's often a knee jerk reaction towards fault finding. Stepping back from this & instead focusing on finding solutions supports growth & development of people & systems.

Leadership roles are less about problems to be solved than about tensions/paradoxes/polarities to be managed. These are pairs of goals that may appear to be contradictory, but BOTH are necessary. An example would be in team dynamics, with a dual focus on being safe/supportive AND honest/accountable. Both are needed to create positive results for the team.
@Deloitte has just published the 2nd of two papers.
Part one: explores the characteristics of managing these tensions/paradoxes well
Part two: describes the key qualities/conditions that leaders need to navigate in addressing them
Both parts are here: https://t.co/4BFogjODDS
A very positive development in Europe and I don't think this has been reported much in the media during the last few decades.
The suicide rates among young people declined in many European countries.

So, did the ACA bend the cost curve? Call it coincidence, but excess cost growth — health spending growing faster than GDP — basically ended when it was passed
