@BetterQuayside @ArchitectsJrnal To be fair, Gateshead has never shown much evidence, since 1900, of understanding decent design or town planning. I remember the 1970s- shopping centre, market, car park, St Cuthberts and Clasper villages.Hideous.

@BetterQuayside @ArchitectsJrnal Not a local however love visiting the north east. The proposed building is not exactly easy on the eye or aesthetically pleasing. Surely a design and in keeping could be found. Looks like a boring 60s build.

@BetterQuayside @gateshead Such a sad decision by Gateshead Council and planners. Thought after all these years the open parking lot would have a development to complement the Quayside. The Baltic and the Sage were such amazing Architectural projects, this piece of "design" is a commercial monstrosity.
