Road diets really can work - just ask Baltimore’s Remington neighborhood. But residents wonder what else can be done to slow down reckless driving. https://t.co/8ZSofbFgGI
We're excited to announce the Baltimore Region has been selected as one of the 31 regional tech hubs. More to come soon. @GBCorg

Using a traffic speed monitoring device, we analyzed speeds along 28th Street the months before and after installation of the road diet.
🐌 Congestion (under 18mph) is only up ~5%.
🏎️ Dangerous speeding (over 43mph, the speed camera threshold) is down over 90%.
That's a win.
Went to an event at the library. Noted the Maryland/Cathedral protected bike lane that passes it was well used. (It is an established north-south route)
Reconfigured parking spaces were full.
Traffic moved.
At rush hour.
People figure it out.
@RahneAlexander@bmoreconnected This. As far as I can see it’s become a personal vehicle (see what I did there?) for the new admin and a few others to rail against bicycles and complete street and ban those who speak facts or opposition (including BCDOT). Oh and the occasional Sheila news.
