@Se_Railway Thank you for the information. Yesterday I arrived 10 minutes before the train was due to arrive so had to climb the stairs to the London bound platform on my crutches which was not easy.
@Se_Railway Yesterday one of the lifts at Thanet Parkway was not working. What are people who need to use the lift to access the platform meant to do, especially as the station is unmanned?
@Se_Railway Thank you. That was my point in commenting was so that procedures are improved. Such situations can be challenging, but there need to be ways to overcome them.
@Se_Railway Yes I did make my train. The staff didn’t seem to know how to use the goods lift and claimed only one person could assist me. In the end I had to get someone to help me to get my mobility scooter down the escalator.
@Se_Railway Thank you. It wasn’t about 12.25pm today and your staff didn’t seem to know what to do. I was in a mobility scooter and almost missed my connection at Kings Cross which was an advanced fare ticket so on a specific train.
Today I was asked by an MDPI journal to review a manuscript written by two members of my own department! I've declined due to "conflict of interest" but also because I refuse to review for predatory publishers such as MDPI.
This is Colonel Nicole Malachowski. A 21-year veteran of the Air Force, she is the first woman to fly with the Thunderbirds and flew 26 missions in Iraq. Trump has removed all mention of her from federal websites.
RETWEET if you stand with @RealMalachowski against Trump!
@MathMatize A course on “number theory” is not what you appear to think. The topic has many important applications including cryptography. Whenever you use a credit card, number theory is part of the technology to ensure data is transferred securely.
@rachelburden My experience in Australia is that in several places you have the choice of a midi (1/3 pint), schooner or pint. Another option is a jug to share. Very sensible
@AtheneDonald@ChurchillCol When I retired I was told that now I just can do the parts of the job I became an academic in the first place, which has been the case. Enjoy retirement!
