When housing is both a human right and an investment opportunity, government needs to ensure that the rights and needs of the more vulnerable community are protected.
It seems hard for @infoPEI & Min @bradtrivers to acknowledge housing is a human right. 2 yrs after promising fix, Min is again delaying action until at least next year on Residential Tenancy Act. Read @CBCPEI story with @karlabernardmla here: https://t.co/vQJY93m6EJ #peipoli
Here we are again, arguing for a common sense bill to make one small incremental step forward for Islanders and our health care system… and the preferences of businesses were the only thing the governing party members wanted to discuss.
Frustrating.

The Guardian just published a story on our paper "The Risk of a Hothouse Earth Trajectory" regarding a potential point of no return. You can read it for free here:

I pulled together an explainer of all of Maritime Electric's applications before IRAC that could affect PEI utility bills. The upshot is that ME anticipates a 10% increase to rates this year. More could be on the way in the coming years.

For Dec 1st it was a great day to campaign in D2 for @PEIgreens candidate Eddie Childs: young, energetic, kind, smart, caring, and ready to serve #peipoli
A private member's bill introduced by Green party leader Matt MacFarlane, which would have removed provincial taxes on used car sales, was defeated in the legislature last week https://t.co/KIiAXfY3n3
This week is School Bus Safety Week. It’s always important to practice proper road safety, but this is a week to raise particular awareness about the importance of following the law in school zones and around school buses #peipoli
This is how it’s done. Ontario reduces its equivalent of PEI’s patient registry by 50% in 9 months. Meanwhile ours continues to grow after years of expensive ongoing failure #peipoli
Behind the scenes, it took a lot of people working hard for months to hit this milestone. Of the 235,000 whose names were on HealthCareConnect on Jan 1, we've reduced the list by 50%🥳, with over 85% of those people being attached to ongoing primary care. https://t.co/7jxymeJ1vM
Canoe Cove always knocks it out of the park when they put on events like tonight’s rhubarb social. Great company and tasty treats is a pretty sweet combo #rhubarb#peipoli
Cannot possibly overstate how frustrated doctors are about this.
This agreement could be the foundation of the most attractive family medicine work in Canada & can help recruit *so many doctors.*
But IMO they are doing the exact opposite of what would actually make that happen.
Physicians across PEI are opposed to these changes because we know what practising here is like.
Forcing through these unilateral changes will make family doctors quit and worsen the desperate situation in our hospitals.
We can’t fix primary care by breaking family practice.
At a time when we need all the decency, honesty, and integrity that we can muster in politics, it was a joy to see @MattMacPEI win the leadership of the @PEIgreens yesterday. I can't wait to see all Islanders get to know what a wonderful leader and person he is #peipoli
