@DaveHarrisonIOM I got taken aside by German police in Cologne for filming in tbe street using a tripod…without a permit! I wondered why the German news crews I saw were all handheld, I just thought they were lazy and didn’t want to carry the legs!

@DaveHarrisonIOM @timbobutcher @untamedborders Yes six months overland in an ex army Bedford, Ramsgate to Mombasa! I was flown home early with cerebral malaria but one hell of a trip! Took us 30 days to cross Zaire the gorillas the absolute highlight.

@AndrewRWhite Hi, I was diagnosed with Epilepsy back in ‘93 at age 26. I was in Africa got it as a result of cerebral malaria, they think! A lot of seizures initially then settled down, yes I ended up in a heap at the bottom of stairs too! All the best and yes it does get better.
