My own preferred Orthodoxy is Petrine Orthodoxy. This version has many elements congenial to Rome, Russia, Canterbury and Geneva ... and only a few I made up myself!
@teotakuu Surely a new build power source contributing to the national grid generally, and not to the "second largest power user in NZ" particularly, would assist in lowering power prices for all users?
One big question - IMHO, an ethical question - which is barely touched on in MH, is the question of power and water consumption used by AI, which increases power costs for all people (including the poorest among us). God has given us brains. Do we need AI? https://t.co/ecOUM3fb1d
First ever participation in a podcast … part of panel responding to Pope Leo’s Encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas … but you will need an hour of spare time or drive time … The podcast is Food for Faith, facilitated and produced by Fr John O’Connor:

I only once saw Martin Crowe play in a live match at the ground. He played scratchily. Yet managed a 50, and even playing scratchily, demonstrated his outstanding technique (per the comment in the video).
A memorable afternoon immortalising one of New Zealand's greats. The late Martin Crowe's portrait was unveiled today in The Long Room between Sir Donald Bradman and Sir Viv Richards.

"To judge from social media, you’d think the document is primarily devoted to artificial intelligence, with some irrelevant comments about slavery and just war theory arbitrarily tacked on. You’d also think those comments mark a rupture with traditional Catholic teaching. None of this is true. There is no break with traditional teaching. While artificial intelligence (or AI) gets significant attention, the encyclical is actually devoted to a much larger theme, of which AI is only a part. And the remarks on slavery and just war theory are not arbitrary, but fit in naturally with this larger theme. Magnifica Humanitas is in fact a major contribution to the tradition of Catholic social teaching inaugurated by the pope’s namesake Leo XIII in Rerum Novarum. It is rich in insights, and gives Catholics a sound framework for dealing with the 'new things' of our times, just as Rerum Novarum did for Catholics of the late nineteenth century and beyond."
The Gospel is much more than a book: it is Christ Himself, the Good News for humanity that is confused, deceived, and disappointed by many evils. He satisfies our thirst for justice and truth, and He instills in us the courage to persevere in doing good and to place ourselves personally at the service of our neighbor.
