@strawhousefilms If a film was made about the Irish revolution and it exclusively cast English actors there'd be uproar. Does it mean the whole cast MUST be Irish? No. But saying the identity of the actor is irrelevant, I think, doesn't empower the actor, it devalues them.

@strawhousefilms Have to respectfully disagree here. Do ALL queer roles HAVE be played by queer actors? Absolutely not. But now that queer narratives are becoming mainstream, it’s also vitally important that queer actors are able to participate in the telling of their own stories.
