@MannGeorgia@BBCRadio3 Hi Georgia. I heard Lefebure-Wely's sortie a bit earlier and you said it was Roger Judd from Exeter College Oxford. I'm sure that it isn't that organ!

The BBC Singers provides our country with so much culture and heritage, being around since 1942. I think the BBC’s decision to scrap it will cause an upset to thousands of people, and today I asked for a debate on the future of classical music which is essential for mental health
Fresh from their mishandling of the departures of Ken Bruce, Steve Wright and Paul O’Grady, the “bombastically uninformed” BBC management axed the BBC Singers without seeing them once in concert.

@TruckFriends@annalapwood@RHSSuffolk We (Hill, Norman and Beard) developed the system in the late 1970s. It was invented by a telephone engineer who was an organ lover and that system was in use in the telephone system. The first large organ to have it fitted was in Newark UK in 1979.
@TruckFriends@annalapwood@RHSSuffolk The organ has a solid state multiplexer system which scans everything 250 times a second. Everything played goes through the system and is encoded so can be put into a memory.
As we get ready for the final performance of The Yeomen of the Guard tonight, we're looking back on this special performance of Gilbert & Sullivan's 'I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General' from @jsavournin that we surprised audiences with during the run.
