Most folks are too ignorant to realize that fascism and communism are two sides of the same coin.

There is little difference between the two, except that fascism allows the means of production to be controlled by large corporations as long as those corporations maintain the party line. In communism, the means of production are owned/controlled by the state.

Both systems are totalitarian - with all control resting at the center and no tolerance is allowed for dissent anywhere outside of the center. Communist systems claimed they were "international" but in practice, they were highly nationalistic in orientation - just like fascism.

People with limited knowledge of reality will fall into the same traps as those in the past.

Most folks forget Hitler tried and failed to take control from the far right - and wound up in jail. After that, he decided to make an appeal to the socialists/workers and hence the name of his party. It worked and he was voted into power.

Once in power, Hitler (and the Waffen SS etc) took total power over the entire political system. Workers and socialists were frequently jailed/killed while the SA (Sturmabteilung) who had been his extreme right muscle in the early years were mostly murdered, including the leadership figure Ernst Rhom.

Ask yourself this question: What would be the difference if you were living under Hitler, Stalin, Franco, Mao or Pol Pot? Answer: Not much.
