On Thursday 16th April, our CEO Peter Davidson, Operations Manager Mark Anderson and Football Team Lead Stephen Boddie are taking part in CEO Sleepout UK at Pittodrie.

They’ll be raising funds for AFCCT and CEO Sleepout, helping raise awareness of homelessness and the reality many people face across our city.

We’re proud to be part of this alongside Aberdeen Cyrenians and Aberdeen Foyer - all beneficiaries of the event.

You don’t need to be a CEO to take part.

This image I captured of Pittodrie Stadium on May 11th, falls on the Anniversary of when Sir Alex Ferguson achieved his first European success with Aberdeen Football Club during his time at Pittodrie.

I met with Sir Alex Ferguson where he signed 10 of these William Turner Luxury Fine Print images which contributed to raise over £10,000 for Aberdeen Football Club when they sold out under 24 hours.

This is a Printers Proof copy which I was going to keep and exhibit, however I have not long found out a 10 year old girl from Aberdeenshire called Sophia is in desperate need to help raise money, to go to America for treatment.

Her mother has written “Sophia’s only chance of long-term survival is to receive an umbilical stem cell transplant, and just days ago she reached the transplant ward—only to be told that her leukaemia levels had risen far too high for the transplant to go ahead. We are devastated. This transplant isn’t just another treatment for Sophia — it is her only hope.”

“But for the transplant to even be possible, her cancer must be reduced to a safe enough level. And tragically, all treatment options available here in the UK have now been exhausted.”

“There is, however, one final glimmer of hope: a specialised drug available only in America. This treatment may be able to bring her cancer levels down enough for her to receive the life-saving stem cell transplant she urgently needs.”
“This treatment is urgent.”

This is the last frame that will be available for purchase, and they went for retail for £1,000 each. Every penny from this auction will be donated to help Sophia get the treatment she needs.

🚗 I travelled up and down the country, hoping — never guaranteeing — that I could collect all 70 signatures from legends like Sir Alex Ferguson, Archie Knox, Alex McLeish, willie miller, Eric and Jo Black Bracken and Black  and John Hewitt — all for two images that would later be framed and sold for the @AFCCT that ended up raising just under £50,000.

📸 in a world of AI, it is more important than ever to authenticate any sort of photography you put your name to, thats why it was important to follow up from my first documentary (how I captured the image) to show you the process of gathering these signatures.
