To our valued customers: THANK YOU! Your continued support of our not-for-profit power programs, Hetch Hetchy Power and @CleanPowerSF means the world to us. Community Power is Public Power. #PublicPowerWeek
Make your voice heard! #OurCityOurPower demands public power for SF. Join the movement & sign up: https://t.co/ZpBXszdWRN. Let's take control of our energy future once and for all.
Public power means lower rates, better service, and more accountability. But just as important: The City will be purchasing the power grid without taking resources away from other critical public services.
#PublicPowerWeek
FACT: Homes powered by #PublicPower utilities pay an average 9% less than those served by private utilities like PG&E.
SF's public power utility continues to offer the lowest electricity rates in San Francisco today.

Public power is part of our DNA. The Raker Act of 1913 paved the way for the Hetch Hetchy hydropower system that has provided 100% ghg-free power for over a century. As we look to the future, we want to expand public power to all of SF. #PublicPowerWeek https://t.co/3gleLsivr1

I prosecuted sex predators. Trump is one.
I shut down for-profit scam colleges. He ran one.
I held big banks accountable. He's owned by them.
I'm not just prepared to take on Trump, I'm prepared to beat him.
I know many of us are feeling uncertain about what happens next.
In this unprecedented moment, we need to unite for the good of our democracy & our Party.
I stand with the President and support Vice President @KamalaHarris as our nominee.

I want to thank President @JoeBiden for everything he has done over the past 4 years.
On student debt, on climate, on jobs, on prescription drugs, on infrastructure.
He’s been bold & relentless in fighting for working families.

My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.

Now two elected officials have received direct death threats at their homes in the wake of Garry Tan’s tweet.
Anyone excusing or dismissing his tweet is giving it permission. There shouldn’t be a difference of opinion on this. This was wrong. Full stop.

A local tech CEO making death threats against 7 current elected officials in SF is absolutely reprehensible & should be condemned across the board.
Why are more SF leaders who’ve benefited from Garry Tan’s campaign contributions not speaking out?

Rest in Peace Senator, Mayor, & Supervisor Feinstein.
Reflecting today on her leadership of our city in the wake of Mayor George Moscone & Supervisor Harvey Milk’s murders + her essential role in passing the 1994 federal Assault Weapons Ban, which saved countless lives.
BOS Prez @AaronPeskin is right. We are taking our eyes off the ball here. Going after people living on welfare instead of focusing on the systemic drug dealing that is fueling the substance abuse crisis on our streets is totally misguided.
Drug testing welfare recipients is a costly, administratively burdensome, and legally unsound policy choice. If we are looking for evidence-backed policies to help address addiction and get people the care and treatment they need, the Mayor’s proposal is not it.
JUST IN: San Francisco Mayor @LondonBreed proposed new legislation Tuesday that would require people with substance use disorders to seek treatment before the city provides them financial support.
"No more handouts without accountability," Breed said. https://t.co/T8ol1NUi0P
