Every EU official following me should read @lectronz damning indictment of PPWR.
"EU policymakers keep sounding the alarm about Europe’s lack of innovation, but seem hell-bent on making it as hard as possible for innovation to emerge at all."

Papier, inkt, coating, dop.

The older I get the more I cannot understand why politicians solve nonsense problems and don't solve real problems. Why? I just cannot understand it.
The EU AI Act is an utter and total mess of nonsense. It was already partially scrapped. Scrap all of it. Now.
Do something real instead.
You want to make deep fake revenge porn of a real person a crime? Great. Do it.
You want to make it illegal to make a video or image of a real person committing a fake crime in order to implicate them in a fake crime? Great. Do it.
Want to make it illegal to hack people with AI? You don't need to. It's already illegal to hack people. Enforce it.
You want to make mass surveillance with AI illegal? Great. Do it. Of course, not a single thing on the books anywhere about that and there won't be because, of course, government reserves the right to spy on everyone.
You want to make it mandatory that labs do real, realistic red teaming with qualified engineers who are not doomer lunatics? Great. I can even get behind that.
But please stop writing legislation that tries to track me, watermark me, or forces me to label that fact that I changed a few lines in a blog with AI's help or a legal contract for my business with AI help.
I don't need altered words in my legal contract so that my contract is provably worse or that makes me lose a case.
We don't label that ads were changed with Photoshop or movies were changed with Blender or Unreal engine or color correction.
Solve real problems in the world please or leave us alone.
I made this video.
Not because it is easy.
But because I _thought_ it would be easy.
Well it wasn't.

Predictably, the owner of this place is trying to spread misinformation, so let's try and mess with the algorithm a bit by liking and retweeting this Pyramint.
Are you using AI to write content for emails, website or social media yet?

Please RT if you would like me to consider standing against @Jacob_Rees_Mogg again, as an independent for one term only. As before, I would step aside if a better unity candidate emerges, or if @UKLabour & @LibDems decide to fight each other & I would only further split the vote.
