So eight chief constables under investigation according to this report -nearly one in five across England. Will he have to repay salary from his 11 month suspension? No. Will his pension be safe as he resigned before being found guilty? Yes. Scandalous. How many more?

I grew up in Merseyside.

North West Water was run from Warrington. Manweb was run from Chester. The TV channels were run from Manchester. The Post Office’s bank was run from Bootle.
