Are you seeing lots of Red Admiral butterflies in your garden? Well, they're not Red Admirals - they're Scarlet Tiger Moths, enjoying a mass takeover. I snapped this one on my studio wall. But where are all the Red Admirals, Small Tortoiseshells and Peacocks, so common before?

Go buy this new book by Jenny Aitken - it's a gem!
Apart from being a great instruction book, its a lovely coffee-table type tome, with lots of Jenny’s beautiful paintings displayed on the pages. I thoroughly recommend it to artists of all abilities.

I managed to get this very poor photo of Kev the Red Kite. You can just about make out his great yellow talons. He has incredible eyesight, appearing from nowhere, circling around, then moves ever closer before the final dive.
