My first thought, with that rusty orange colour would be a Swallow?
The little feathers with black spotting is confusing me, but can’t think of another bird with the dark blue wings? @RSPBbirders

Can you ID this please? @ARC_Bytes @froglifers @WTWales it was seen last minute in our ditch yesterday, and couldn’t get my camera out before it slipped into the pond overflow, so not much to go on. It didn’t have usual grass-snake markings and maybe to green to be an eel?

The old sewage outfall pipes at #ForenessPoint they used to be great for pungering when I was a youngster in the mid ‘70s. I wonder if there are still some there? Not that I want to try, but I still have my punger hook in the shed!

The windfall apples proving a hit in this cold weather. This morning, Song Thrush, Fieldfare, Blackbird, Robin, BlueTit, Dunnock, Chaffinch, Magpie, Redwing and even a Wren. The Fieldfare must expend more energy than it takes in fighting off the Blackbirds! ⁦@RSPBbirders⁩
