@cremieuxrecueil I think this plot is not sufficient for such conclusion. The plot is relative to the start of Ph.D, it might just show that medical training before Ph.D is just as bad. Maybe, people in medical cohort susceptible to mental problems already developed them by start of their Ph.Ds.

@7etsuo I am kind of missing the point. C. elegans has just 302 neurons. There is no reasons to expect that simulating its movements should be somehow extremelly computationally dificult.

My problem here is that if a marker of aging changes with pregnancy then my interpretation is not that pregnancy accelerates aging but rather that the marker of aging is not actually measuring aging.

If anything this questions the reliability of epigenetic markers of aging.

@Jeff_Mold Well, I think that at least implicitly most HI studies sell young blood angle. Just look at their tilles. They are mostly in the form of young blood does that or that instead of changing old blood does that or that.

@noise_law To sa samozrejme týk len tvrdenia že veda nikdy nič nedokázala. Ale celkom by ma zaujímalo na základe čoho máte pocit, že základným princípom vedy je viera. Nejde mi to do kopy s tým že každý vedec by si prial prepísať základnù učebnicu svojho oboru.

@noise_law To záleží na definici "dokázala" ak tým človek myslí nejakú absolútnu pravdu tak samozrejme máte pravdu viď Karl Popper, ale ak tým tvrdíte že nás neposúva k lepšiemu poznaniu sveta (a teda je podobná náboženstvu) tak vyjadrovať takéto tvrdenie cez internet je fakt absurdné.

@sTeamTraen I mean, I have no idea about details but the numbers on wikipedia seems to be roughly where I would expect them to be e.g. 80 000 CHF as average for whole switzerland

@sTeamTraen Sounds very plausible. E.g., gross postdoc salaries at swiss universities are around 100 000 CHF per year (with full funding, probably even slightly higher at ETH and EPFL)
