This is not right. Millions of #Canadians have a personal story about them, something extra special from an airshow, or a just a surprise low flyby while training for Queen Elizabeth II in Vancouver (that's mine).
I wish that I could fly away with them...

Recall that when allegations were made ~18 months ago that fentanyl crossing from Canada to the US was a problem, the Liberal government first denied it, then launched Potemkin border security measures
- announcements that thousands of new border guards would be hired, but they weren't
- leasing exactly two helicopters with no sensors that would patrol a tiny section of the border a few hours per day.
Then they declared it all solved. The PM even tweeted goofily about the helicopters.
The problem for the Liberals, and now for Canada, is that the US has far more border patrol personnel, better intelligence, and a much more serious perspective on their homeland defence. They know what's happening. They're looking for prevention and enforcement action on Canada's part, and all they get is @gary_srp, someone with his own terror associations.

On this day in 1915, Scotty Davidson was killed when he refused to retreat during a battle in France. A gifted hockey player, he won a Stanley Cup in his Hall of Fame career. His death helped inspire his friend Capt. Jim Sutherland to create the Memorial Cup.

More doctors are choosing Nova Scotia.
Last year alone, Nova Scotia welcomed 278 new doctors, including 111 family doctors and 167 specialists. That means a net gain of 199 doctors for our province.
This progress is the result of a strong team effort. Through initiatives like PACE, stronger recruitment and retention, partnerships with Dalhousie and the new Cape Breton Medical Campus, we are building the healthcare workforce Nova Scotians need.
More doctors means more people connected to primary care, more appointments available, and better access to healthcare across our province.
There is still more work to do, but we are moving in the right direction and our foot is firmly on the gas.

*Net new doctors means Nova Scotia recruited 199 more doctors than left practice (i.e. for retirements) during the year.

In a world of growing instability, it has never been more important for Nova Scotia to be more self-reliant and more energy secure.
Today, we import natural gas from the United States while sitting on significant natural gas resources of our own. That doesn’t make sense.
I believe we can responsibly develop our natural resources while protecting the environment we all cherish. We have the science, technology, expertise, and regulatory oversight to do both.
Developing our natural resources isn’t just about energy. It’s about creating good-paying jobs, growing our economy, strengthening government services, and helping deliver more stable and affordable energy for Nova Scotian families.
For too long, opportunities were left on the sidelines. Our government is taking a different approach. We are focused on responsible growth, energy security, and building a stronger Nova Scotia for future generations.

At 102, George Beardshaw has received an honorary degree from @Laurier.
He is the last known surviving British Home Child in Canada and the last surviving Queen’s Own Rifles veteran of WW2.
It’s never too late to thank a veteran and make him feel recognized for his service.
He is considered to be the greatest, and most complete, hockey player who ever lived.
His legacy with the game is so deep that his nickname was Mr. Hockey.
He inspired generations of players in his 32 professional seasons.
This is the story of Gordie Howe.

Nova Scotia’s seafood industry is a cornerstone of our economy, our communities and our way of life.
The new Coast to Classroom program will help students learn about the opportunities that exist right here at home, from fisheries and aquaculture to processing, ocean technology and more.
By connecting classroom learning to real-world careers, we are helping young Nova Scotians build skills, explore their future and gain a deeper understanding of the industries that help drive our province forward.

June 6, 1944. Today, we mark the anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy. 14,000 Canadians stormed Juno Beach, showing unparalleled bravery in the face of fierce resistance. 359 Canadians made the ultimate sacrifice that day.
We stand in silent gratitude for the heroes who broke through the Atlantic Wall and paved the path to liberation.
