Following the desperately sad news of the passing of former Manchester City captain and manager Tony Book, we reflect on and pay tribute to the remarkable career of a true Club icon. 🩵
Musk’s journey from mostly harmless oddball centrist to committed supporter of fascists is neither interesting nor original. But if the world’s richest man and supposed greatest genius can fall victim to such cringeworthy radicalisation, millions of others can too.
Note how Telegraph invokes Trump's view of PM's energy policy and Musk's (very factually contested) view of his CPS record as LEAD front page items... skewing coverage from a right wing US perspective to drive clicks and position.
FA statement on why it backed Saudi WC
Says it met the Saudi Football Fed & “asked them to commit to ensuring all fans would be safe and welcome including LGBTQ+ fans. They assured us that they are fully committed to providing a safe and welcome environment for all fans.”
Reform have 5 MPs

Musk didn’t invent Tesla, he bought it
Musk didn’t invent SpaceX, he bought it
Musk didn’t invent Starlink, he bought it
Musk didn’t invent “X,” he bought it

Priorities, judgment matter.
What’s the point being made here? The Chancellor is the government's chief financial minister so of course she should be reading The Economist & The Financial Times - both of which by the way are legitimate expenses
This #Panorama#SmartMeter episode is a great illustration of why the Government has never backed a subscription based BBC. Everyone's home, internet and TV setup is *different*, so it would cost billions to get around this nationwide. It will never happen in my lifetime I reckon
It still seems feasible that the Tories will ultimately come round to a Rejoin stance before head-in-sand Labour, still kneecapped by "Make Brexit Work".
It doesn’t mean we can’t limit the damage because the 1,5 degree max target is an average over 20 Years but getting here this soon is really not good news. Denying Climate Chaos won’t stop it happening. Words do lots of things but they won’t fix this.
Never has this been truer. Labour needs to step up, wake up, show up, and get us back on the path to EU membership, in whatever form can be agreed. Blair was right then and is right now. Come on, sort yourselves out. Your economic growth doesn’t exist.
