@Ramma_____ Hoddle was a maestro on 70s/80s minefield pitches and during an era of career-ending tackles being the norm. I just couldn't see him having the speed and physicality for today's game.
@stevemaythe1st@Arenatweet@FaberChildrens Brilliant! Your artwork was better than I could have imagined. This is one of the best illustrated books I’ve been part of in my career. :)
@stevemaythe1st Yeah. It’s memorable. They produced ‘Microsoft Bob’ a few years prior. But after that failed they took all their little clippy type widgets and stuffed them into Office ‘97.
Cool news! The American Children’s Book Council has selected The Spotless Giraffe as a winner in its 2025 Teacher Favourites Book Awards. :) @QuartoKids Artwork by Alison Hawkins.

@SimplyCaityT@raymondMcGrath Thanks Caity, I appreciate your kind feedback. It took me a long time to write that story. The mole character came right at the very end of it. It’s great that it’s being read and people are finding it helpful. Pete :)
Cool news. My story, The Spotless Giraffe, has been shortlisted in the Sunshine State Young Reader Awards in America. (Florida.) Special thanks to my illustrator, Alison Hawkins, and my publisher, Quarto, for producing such a lovely book. @bunny_fart
