@NoelleCanty It's nice to be asked this. I have sketchbooks full of half ideas, but I find them quite difficult to turn into finished paintings. Recently they all seem to be figures engaged with nature in simple ways. Probably because I would like us to be, more than we are.

@preraphgarden@RISDMuseum Millais' brushwork was a bit softer than this I think and the face doesn't quite look like one of his, especially the mouth. The hair is very like The Bridesmaid and Sophie Gray though.
