A reader of “Cobalt Red” shared with me this powerful image he created.

It echoes the schematic of the Brookes Slave Ship uncovered by the great abolitionist Thomas Clarkson.

Clarkson turned the image into a poster and distributed it across England. The brutal geometry of the slave trade shocked the public and inspired a wave of protest, making it the first image in the history of human rights to go viral.

The point is not a blanket criticism of EVs, but to levy due critique on the violent nature of EV battery supply chains. These abuses can be remedied, should there be will to do so. So far, there has not been.

That is why it is imperative that we employ our creative talents to spread awareness of the truth, just as the original abolitionists did, until the injustices are set right. #cobaltred

I am proud to be helping #Nepal by bringing in climbers, trekkers and business people from all over the world to the beauty that is the home of the world's biggest mountains.

Elite Exped and myself bought in several hundred clients last year. This helped create new jobs, filled hotels and restaurants and supported the local communities with tourism in the area during the climbing season. This was not only in Kathmandu but this also enabled the Teahouses along the various treks to basecamps to be full of clients supporting the communities in the remote villages.

I am proud to have put Nepal on the map during my #14PeaksMission highlighting the culture and people of this beautiful country - and seeing new people visit my home is incredible!
