Simone Weil’s greatest insight was that attention is the foundation of morality and that letting your attention span degrade is the first step on the road to hell
@lindaxie I notice many people who resort to AI for messaging were bad at communication standards to start with and AI has not improved it one bit. Sometimes wish I'd actually get an AI generated reply back as it is slightly better than no response at all
@ArsAlendi I'm on board for the em-dash reclaim.
Books are more important than ever now. Not just for the information, but for the style of thinking and writing that is preserved
11 years ago I nervously posted my first video on intraday SupDem. 30k views in a week... so of course I ignored it until Covid 🫠
At 20k subs I'll be giving away one full Pro Dev Program.

@ArsAlendi The cherimoya is very scoopable, it is such a brilliant fruit. Tastes like a Willy Wonka concoction of apple, pear and chestnut. Mangosteen is in my top 3 but so rare to see, last time I saw was in a Tesco's or Sainsburys (UK). The Jumbo charges me 25euro/kg, lol
@ArsAlendi I walked into a larger Jumbo today and it had a whole range of exotics I haven't seen in the regular supermarkets here before, I was gobsmacked. Kiwano (meh), mangosteen and cherimoya. Was like walking into Harrod's. What do you think of those? Cherimoya tastes sooo good
@jessegenet I looked at plaid, I had a hard time figuring out if they support these individual projects? How much does is set you back on their fees? Thank you for answering!
@pip_raider Nice to get a lot of puppy training experience with 1 breed, fun to see the diff between the characters that way. I've only worked with one dog that was not food obsessed, but that dog responded phenomenally to positive approval/affection. That dog did have issues though
@pip_raider I've not worked with dogs at the puppy stage yet. I know it can be very demanding, is that an easier breed for puppy training? He looks ready for everything
Your potential means nothing if you keep protecting yourself from looking foolish. You can have the ideas. The talent. The discipline. The vision. And still waste years. Because you’re too afraid to be seen trying. People talk. People judge. Let them. Be willing to look foolish. Awkward. To start badly. To be misunderstood. You can either protect your ego or build the life you want. You don’t get to do both.
@vineerpasam Think there is a difference between coding skills being less valuable and the perception that coding skills are becoming less valuable. Most code will be written by ai/agents, that is inevitable, but people that can problem solve with language & logic have an evergreen edge
Trust me on this: Possibility expands when you move. You meet someone because you went. Discover something because you tried. Find an opportunity because you asked. The world reveals doors to people in motion that remain completely invisible to people standing still.
I just want you to remember. That we live in a world where octopuses dream, otters have a favorite shell that they carry with them all their lives, cows have best friends, and bees have different "dialects" of dance depending on the region. Cats purr at a frequency that accelerates bone healing, the forest grows flowers first after a fire, and dolphins give each other names and respond to them. Penguins make proposals by giving each other the most beautiful pebble
