🧵📣 Key monitoring results from the @PARTRIDGE_NSR project:
1️⃣ Grey partridge: Our ten demonstration sites had significantly more #greypartridge males than our reference sites, where no or very little habitat management took place.

📣 New best-pactise guidelines for practitioners on how to survey wintering #farmlandbirds.
Are you planning to monitor wintering farmland birds in a scientific project, #farmercluster, #farmercollective, #EFG, or similar?
0ur new free guidelines explain how to get it right.
End of project fact 5⃣: PARTRIDGE measures attract farmland birds in winter! 3x as many birds were found in points near our measures, compared to counting points on our control sites. @Luc_DeBruyn takes us through the results in our latest blog https://t.co/SX782tMqQq📸Amy Mason
Fact 4⃣ cont'd (1/2): During #hare surveys, we found more hares at our #DemonstrationSites vs our reference sites. But does this mean habitats we established increased them🤔? @petersen_fleur looks at the numbers in our latest blog🧐https://t.co/U65vUuKzcX 📸Amy Mason

End of project fact 4️⃣: To proof that our implemented measures deliver for biodiversity, we monitored #brownhare during 453 nocturnal counting sessions in 7 years, covering over 127,000 ha of arable land, and most amazingly, recording approximately 34,000 hares! 👊
As we enter the final stage of the @PARTRIDGE_NSR project, we have to cherish the last #greypartridge counting sessions. Last night's survey at our demo site in Ramskapelle was very succesfull, including 12 calling males recorded on a 1km transect!
