Amazing local initiative from the music department at Mayfield Secondary School in Caledon/Brampton, a GTA arts leader. It's a huge amount of admin work to organize something like this, and it went off without a hitch. Bravissimo!!

Under a week to go, and a travel alert for anyone coming by TTC: apparently the subway will not be running from Woodbine to Chester. If travelling east, you can get off at Broadview, it's a short walk to the church. Shuttle busses will also be running. Hope to see you there!

A couple of very interesting doubling gigs with orchestra in the past month: one on Bb and A bass clarinets, with an extension tube in the Bb bell to create a passable low B! And Eb clarinet with basset horn for the amazing Queen Symphony, based on the music of Queen. Fun!

Thanks so much to the composers of ICOT (Iranian Composers of Toronto) for an amazing week-long recording session with the New Orford String Quartet and others. Album "Recurrence" due out in October!
