This iconic graph tracks how rapidly our planet is warming. Yet every time it's shared on Twitter, someone always asks, "Why does it begin in 1850?"

The answer is simple: it's when we first had enough thermometers to compute a truly representative global temperature average.

5. The most puzzling thing about this finding is that there is not more of a yield hit when we have really big observations for late planting. Sure it happened in some years like 1993 and 1995. But 2009 and 2019 go the other way.

@JoanNiesen Be consistent with your approach to your work. Treat the Tuesday night HS basketball game between two struggling teams the same way you would treat a championship game. Your audience and future employers can tell when you 'mail it in'.

There is a fantastic chart in this post showing that even though we had record quits in November, hires were greater than quits *in every major industry.* Job-quitters are taking other jobs, not dropping out of the labor force, and job growth is very strong. This is good news!
