@711_Joseph@jasonlk@harris Mitigated imho by not coming in cold to this process - you’ve been ‘warming up’ your 40+ pipeline for 12+ months and you have a read on both a/ rough appetite for the deal, b/ practicalities/blockers at each firm so able to accommodate if required.
@711_Joseph@jasonlk@harris Risk that - by running your own timetable, assuming sufficient interest in your round, setting hard deadlines - you burn semi-interested leads that might have done the deal if given more nurture/time - then you get to the end and there’s not enough in the pipeline.
@immad@mercury I asked pg at the end of s2007 batch how to preserve mental health through building a startup. He said: “go for a run every day”. Of all advice he gave that summer, for me that had the biggest delta between “how much I acted on it” vs “benefit if I’d acted on it” 🤦♂️
