Have almost finished my homebrew patron for the DnD Warlock class.

Specifically I mean Michael Grant’s Heroes.
I haven’t read his other series, but the Gone series, Monster and Villain were so promising.
and his reasoning behind the ending were somewhat cool, but left a bad taste in my mouth and a whole lotta confusion.

I don’t have words for how disappointed I was in #Heroes , the last of the Gone spin off series. I so wanted to love it and I tried loving it for the rest of the series (which is so worth reading).
But the characters felt dry, the villain paled to the previous and the ending...🤢

The ending took all the meaning and drive of the series and destroyed it. I wanted to reread #Gone again (once again an amazing series) but like none of the story or characters or their trials matter in light of Heroes ending. Theres just no point in reading it.

I realise now that this post is not so much about character writing (which is where I was at) and very much more human psychology of characters. My original comment was pretty blaze in response to Kylo’s trauma and not at helpful to the current discussion.

@RaphLife @jhaletweets It’s dependant on how good the animation is and how similar they are.
If they are reminiscent/similar but still have their own unique features and have decent animation, then it can be cool.
But often the animation is underwhelming and jerky and the characters badly written
