What a privilege to meet my musical hero, Leonard Zvakata.
Iโve played his music in every kitchen, car journey and party of my life.
And today, I met the man himself.
No doubt this man represents his country, the UK, in Zimbabwe with the dignity and diplomacy required. He engaged the communities of our country, Zimbabwe, with respect. I have no doubt that Harare and London will create good ground that will benefit both countries. @PeteVowles
Itโs been an honor to know you Pete, great personality and possibly the best ambassador to have graced Zimbabwe. I wish you well in your futureโs endeavors. Thanks for everything
Outgoing UK ambassador Pete Vowles arrives at the King's Birthday Party celebrations in Harare. This marks the end of the tour of duty for Pete, who became a beloved face in Zimbabwe for his "homeboy" approach to diplomacy
In bits here but what a manager and, most importantly, what a human being. Changed everything, gave a club, community and people around it more than he can probably ever know. Just want the absolute best for him in everything that comes next.
