@NNinjet The only issues I've had with factory made cd's and dvds were scratches due overuse.
Never a rotten one since 90's.

I had delamination, discoloration and holes only in burned old DVD-R, CD-RW, CD-R, DVD-RW. And this is expected.

But if the DVD was left in the dog house...

Streaming killed movie rentals, but not disc production or sales.
We have Blu-ray, UHD and streaming services, but they still produce and sell for less than $10 the good old DVD movie.

@Pirat_Nation Game discs are the easiest gifts to give on birthdays and Christmas.
Just buy 3 games to each kid based on their current games and call it a day.
No more walking in crowded Toys R Us in Christmas week.
