I’ve been a fan and follower of @theskimm for many years. I was surprised to see that today’s email highlighted the Tulsa Race Massacre on its centennial remembrance. Learning about what I didn’t learn about in school is what spurred me to pursue a PhD.

I’m glad to see news and media sources telling these stories and providing resources so readers can learn more. There is always more work to be done, but exploring silenced history is a necessary step.
