I am going to give presentation on our developed automatic robotic device ALSA for crystal coalignment for #neutrons. Come to see my talk at #APSMarch today from 12:30 PM in the room M100C. @Mecademic@PhotonicL
Talk on #LK99 doped with sulfur at #apsmarch is going to start. The small room is full and the team seems very confident https://t.co/gwc4a8ThEa
People in the auditorium remain very sceptical. Do you have some questions to ask the Dr. Kim Hyun-tak?
8) The talk did not bring so much new information 😞. I was expecting that the presenter will bring the magnet 🧲 and the sample to show it to the audience live. The whole thing remains highly speculative and imo improbable.
@JV_today_ I remain sceptical as before. If there is an SC phase, even if it is very small, it should be possible to cut it out of the sample and measure precisely. And sure, there is still no peer reviewed publication.
@mformanek88 Imo not anything new, they are confident that the sample is a superconductor, but it is clearly a multiphase sample which could also explain shown behavior.

@rider_nimbus Neither question answered fully. A non-conclusive video of the sample behavior above the magnet was shown. A sample "suddenly" falls down on the edge which was explained by reaching a critical field.
@rider_nimbus There were two questions: 1) how partially levitated sample behaves when moving from center to edge of the magnet 2) my question: how reproducible is your procedure of sample preparation.
