Hi @TwitchSupport. I’m genuinely confused by this decision.

My request to create a Twitch Team called “Пиявник” was rejected, with the vague explanation that the team name “may be considered inappropriate” — and support then said they’re unable to explain what exactly is inappropriate about it.

“Пиявник” is just a made-up Russian wordplay on “пиявка” (leech) and “питомник” (nursery/kennel) - basically “Leech Nursery.” There’s no slur, profanity, sexual meaning, harassment, or anything remotely offensive in the name.

If Twitch is going to reject a Partner feature request because a completely harmless non-English name is supposedly “inappropriate,” I think it’s reasonable to at least explain what policy it violates instead of sending a generic rejection and refusing to elaborate.

So, @TwitchSupport: what exactly is wrong with the name “Пиявник”?
