@gaetano_nyc Demand Media's https://t.co/ffZEjut6QF scaled through large scale content development (automation would have been limited) in the late naughts and then fell of a cliff (banned) a few years later.
@MalteLandwehr Here's another example (same page). If you're a creator and basing your business success on this to make the math work, it generally doesn't end well. Sites/Google have been playing this game for over 20 years. You're not the first to get hit and you won't be the last.
@bdlowery@lilyraynyc And Youtube & FB & Insta.... Many of these niche owners followed crap advice to build a business around a single source of traffic and are now upset that the gig is up. That's called bad business.
@ingu100@jambajuus@McCurdy1987@Dogger007@Nazzys_Nephew@WestJet It can work in industries like air travel & telecom. Take a look at Australia as an example. They've consistently had better telecom rates and domestic air service than Canada by allowing international companies compete with local providers. It's possible if done right.
@Westjet is truly the worst airline in Canada. Out of 6 flights over the last 2 years, 4 were delayed for 3 hours or longer - 1 flight for 4 days, 1 flight for a full day, 1 for 8 hours and another for 3 hours. Zero accountability.
@MikeBlazerX And is best to use ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude to create the the content for each keyword. Or what about using all 3 to create keyword + chatGPT, keyword + Gemini, etc.
@mattdiggityseo What BS. SEO for affilaite and over optimized ad driven sites might be done, but for everyone else, it's just another day of building and optimizing sites that get results. This is not the 1st time Google has slapped a whole category of sites and it won't be the last.
@DarrenShaw_ I had a client who ran a multiroom B&B from 2000-2010. He did the same as guests were on the way out. He'd ask them to leave a review on the lobby computer while they waited for a taxi (this was before we all accessed email on our phones). He smashed it & sold the biz for a mint.
