Press conference and protest. Lahore Press Club//6th June (MONDAY)//01:00 PM.
We request all pet lovers to be there with their pets and play cards. It's time to tell them that your pets are your family and pet food is a basic necessity, not a luxury. #pets @dawn.today @ushnashah

@Ali_Irshad @GovtofPakistan @MiftahIsmail @GFarooqi @BakhtawarBZ Infact all pets need food. Yes, I agree. Let's request @MiftahIsmail to unban cats and dogs food.

[PetsOne.pk 🐾🐕‍🦺🐈 @PetsOnepk]

@GovtofPakistan imposed ban on pet food import on 19th June 2022. And it's been 14 days now. This ban is putting lives of many exotic animals in danger. We request @MiftahIsmail to look into this matter. @GFarooqi @BakhtawarBZ

[PetsOne.pk 🐾🐕‍🦺🐈 @PetsOnepk]

Some news channel are claiming that pet food import is unbanned but there isn't any official statement supporting this. Pet Food (Cat & Dog Food) is still banned. Most recent SRO says that animal food (except cat and dog) import is unbanned.

Pet Food is a Necessity, Not a Luxury

Tuesday 24 May 2022
4:30 pm
2, Model Town Roundabout
(Near Bank Square Market) Lahore

we protest against ban placed on pet food import.
We request you to bring your pets along. #unban_petfood #unban_pet_food

[Gharidah Farooqi (T.I.) @GFarooqi]

Why has Govt banned Cat & Dog Food? This one is not well advised. This food is not a luxury but a necessary item for those who keep pets. Request to PM @CMShehbaz to kindly lift ban on this item since there is no local food available for these creatures. #AnimalRights

[Sana @Saher11Sana]

Since when has pet food become a luxury? Food is a necessity not a luxury. @CMShehbaz there are animal shelters and pet owners feeding animals and rely on these pet foods otherwise improve quality of local food #unban_pet_food

Pet food is a necessity, it’s not a luxury. When
you are not at home for many hours or even days, pets
survive on pet food which don’t go stale even after
days while chicken or any other food go stale.

Previous government had already skyrocketed the prices of pet foods and technically we people were paying more taxes each week and putting more money in national exchequer. #petfood #petfoodmatters #petfoods #unban_pet_food

Unlike stray dog/cats, pets grow up in a totally different environment, they don’t eat stale meat and sometimes they don’t even drink water unless given fresh. #petfood #petfoodmatters #petfoods #unban_pet_food

Pet food is not a luxury item. It is a basic necessity of pets like humans. As there are no such local pet foods available nor pet owners can make these foods at home. #unban_petfood #pets_food_is_not_a_luxury #pets_needs_food #unban_pet_food
