🚨 JUST IN: Sec. Marco Rubio just DROPPED this line after CENTCOM sunk 5 Iranian oil tankers
"It's pretty straightforward: Iran keeps trying to hit US naval ships. Every time they do THAT? They're going to LOSE TANKERS!"
🔥🔥🔥
"And you'll see that again today."
Pair the CENTCOM strikes with Scott Bessent's Operation Economic Outcast, Iranian inflation, unable to pay the troops — no wonder the regime is lashing out!
CENTCOM forces destroyed five Iranian crude oil carriers, Sept. 8, after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeted a U.S. Navy warship with ballistic missiles twice over the past two days. The U.S. warship successfully evaded the attempted Iranian attacks and continued to patrol regional waters. No American personnel were harmed.

BREAKING: Iran's IRGC announces it carried out the single largest attack in the Strait of Hormuz of the war, striking 10 vessels in retaliation for tonight's US strikes on 5 Iranian oil tankers.
The IRGC says it struck 8 oil tankers attempting to pass through the Strait and the two US destroyers it named earlier tonight, "inflicting significant damage."
The US struck 3 tankers on Sept. 5 and Iran responded with 6, the US struck 5 tonight and Iran responded with 10. Two for one is now the pattern.
BREAKING: American forces have struck multiple Iranian tankers tied to the IRGC in response to more attempted missile attacks on a US Navy warship, US official tells Al Arabiya English
Rumor has it this was all Trump's idea and at his direction today to hit a bunch of Iranian tankers out of nowhere.
If it's a tanker war Trump wants than he is going to get it.
Such a non-sensical enigmatic strategic blunder, now gulf arab tankers will be hit.
🟥WOOOOOW!
A VLCC carrying more than 2 million barrels of Saudi crude is heading to South Korea the long way — around Africa.
That voyage is roughly twice as far as the usual Red Sea/Bab Al Mandab route, adding about 30 days.
The tanker was only partly loaded, apparently by ship-to-ship transfer off Saudi Arabia’s western ports. It then sailed north and transited the Suez Canal. A fully loaded VLCC cannot cross Suez. It finished loading Saudi crude at Sidi Kerir (Egypt, see red arrow) then set course for South Korea.
Map from @kpler. I added the white line, the two red arrows and the red circle.
Pareto: “#Tanker#markets with strong start to the week, and rates rising across the board. Still good activity in the Atlantic, and a few Oman-cargoes at exceptional levels.”
Brazil is becoming China’s new oil lifeline. Brazilian oil production hit 4.5mbpd in June, +19% y/y, while oil export value to China more than doubled to $15.1bn in H1. With Hormuz disrupted, China is leaning harder on Brazil. Long-haul barrels = more VLCC tonne-miles.
