When he says “there’s no question it would be good,” that’s the tell. It isn’t confidence grounded in analysis. It’s certainty grounded in faith.
Matt Walsh isn’t arguing that acquiring Greenland would be beneficial. He’s declaring it unquestionable, and anything declared beyond question is no longer subject to reason, evidence, consent, cost, or moral limits. The conclusion comes first. Reality is expected to fall in line afterward.
That mindset treats doubt as weakness and inquiry as disloyalty.
Who owns the land? Do the people consent? By what right is it taken? What obligations and precedents follow? None of these matter once power itself is treated as the good.
This is how imperial thinking works.
Expansion isn’t justified by trade, agreement, or rights, but by the sheer assertion that strength must be exercised. If the state can take, then taking is assumed to be virtuous. Asking whether it should becomes almost taboo.
So when defenders say “there’s no question,” what they’re really saying is that their belief can’t survive questions. It’s not that the policy is obviously good. It’s that their fantasy of national greatness can’t tolerate scrutiny.
It’s dogma with a flag.
@MattWalshBlog “I own guns and I’ve never shot anyone” is the rhetorical twin of “I drink and I’ve never crashed, so drunk driving isn’t a problem.”
The issue isn’t you, it’s the scale, the access, and the statistical certainty that enough other people aren’t you.
It’s so weird being Iranian right now, scrolling through my feed and seeing all my fellow Iranians praying for freedom, and seeing every white leftist & terror sympathizer praying the oppressor wins… “for humanity.”
@Will_Tanner_1 As horrible as human sacrifices are, I don't think the routine torture and execution of heretics and apostates in medieval Christianity in Europe at the time (stuff Columbus would have been bery familiar with) is a whole lot better. But he spread Christianity so it's fine !
@0xAlaric If the insinuation here is that true Christians ought to rally and defend their religion with 'violence', then you are still stuck in medieval Christendom and need help. As the late Christopher Hitchens put it, 'religion poisons everything'.
Today, the Taliban passed a law that bans women from showing their faces and having their voices heard in public. Their burqas must now entirely cover their faces and they are not permitted to speak in public or to look at any males that are not relatives. Perhaps it’s been an emotional year, or maybe it’s because I’m triggered, but I once again cried when I heard the news. I’m still trying to piece myself together. Not even animals are treated with such cruelty, such dehumanization, such indignity, and such little value for human life. This is the entire erasure of the existence of women, and it cuts me to the core to know what Afghanistan and Iran were before this cancerous plague was brought to us. Where are the protests? Where is the outrage? Where is the ICJ? The ICC? Amnesty? Why doesn’t anybody care about the effective enslavement of millions of women under the jihadist system of gender apartheid?
The powerful @KonstantinKisin demolished every bad faith argument by Saifedean Ammous.
Imagine accusing someone of identity bias and immediately backing down from it. What an embarrassment.
Well done Konstantin.

NEW: AOC has meltdown after she tells Tony Bobulinski to give her a crime Joe Biden committed and then he gives her a crime Joe Biden committed.
After demanding that he tell her what crime Biden committed, AOC refused to let Bobulinski answer.
Bobulinski: "You asked me to answer the question. I answered the question. RICO, you're obviously not familiar with corruption statute."
AOC: "Excuse me sir. Excuse me sir. Excuse me sir."
