Dear @Framer,

I have to say something about the Marketplace!

First, I didn’t make this opinion with AI. This is simply what I realized as a Framer Creator and UX Designer.

My first question to you is:

What is the Marketplace actually for?

Is it for curated design inspiration or business?

If it’s for inspiration, I have nothing to say. But if it’s for business, then I must speak up.

The main motto of the Marketplace should be:

“Finding the Framer template that best fits to elevate a buyer’s business.”

If so, the Marketplace must prioritize discovery first—to help buyers find the right template within a few moments.

Therefore, main categories, sub-categories, and appropriate sorting are crucial here, above everything else.

Here are my humble suggestions:

1. Prioritize discovery first.
2. Keep it organized with proper categories.
3. Introduce a template “Trust Badge” (Framer Reviewed only).
4. Add sorting options:
a. Best Match
b. Trending
c. Newest First
d. Reviewed by Framer First

How the algorithm metrics should work:

1. Best Match:
a. Framer Reviewed
b. Most visited
c. Most remixes (for paid)
d. Most remixes + active Framer plan subscriptions (for free)

2. Trending:
a. Most visited
b. New templates

3. Newest First: As it is.

4. Reviewed by Framer:
a. Framer Reviewed
b. New templates

One thing: only remixes (for free templates) doesn’t mean it’s great unless the user subscribes to a paid plan.

So, ranking shouldn’t blindly follow remixes. That’s wrong if so. In my eyes:

a. Creators remix mostly for case studies.
b. The real business holders subscribe to the paid plan.
The 2 most important things from above mentioned are:

1. Default Sort = Best Match

Some templates are top-notch and have generated so many paid subscribers. Those deserve the top places.

Then new templates? No issues. Those will be first in the Trending sort.

2. Introduce a template “Trust Badge”

a. Previously reviewed templates will hold this badge.
b. And after the 3.0 release, the moderators are reviewing silently, as far as I can remember. If so, then the reviewed templates should hold this badge if they found that the template perfectly follows Framer’s rules.

I don't know whether you (@framer ) will read this or not, but I think this isn't just my voice, it’s the voice of our entire Framer community.

I’ve sketched and attached my simple idea.

This is for:

1. Framer Business
2. Template Buyers
3. And us, the Creators as well.

Lastly, again please take our voice to help us the Framer's growth. Please do not let us fall down and getting away from @framer.

We really love @framer so we never want to find out another way of life.
