@flasHHval@ImJoviGG Huge vouch - the hardest working player I've ever worked with.
Incredibly dedicated both in and outside the server, and I can't speak highly enough. The type of person to change his whole personality in pursuit of the game.
After seeing the gloomy sentiment about tier 2 VAL, I want to remind players that you must always be realistic when pursuing your passion and never take things for granted. What you've experienced now is a boom and bust cycle that happens frequently in passion-driven industries such as ours. Take it from me as someone who didn't 'make it' out of tier 2 in multiple esports titles as a player IGL, I never lost my passion and eventually found my niche in coaching teams, all while completing my engineering studies and juggling multiple jobs in my 20s.
If you ask anyone on the older side of esports who has witnessed several of these boom and bust cycles, you'll find most will tell you this: maximize every opportunity you get. While it's true that there could have been better support, and different parties may share the blame, dwelling on these factors won't benefit you as a player. Keep honing in on desirable high-demand skillsets (!), work toward your goals, and find ways to sustain yourself if you're truly passionate. The cream will eventually rise to the top since this is esports after all. And, when that opportunity finally comes your way, the hard work you've invested will pay off. 💪
