Tomorrow at 8am, our groundbreaking digital platform for the Trusted Tour Operator Scheme goes live! In less than 6 months, #TeamHomeAffairs has delivered on our pledge to supercharge group tourism from China and India.
Before TTOS, the combined 2.8 billion people of India and China had to visit one of only two missions in either country to apply for a tourist visa - and large tour groups struggled to obtain visas at all.
From tomorrow, our TTOS platform enables vetted tour operators to submit online group applications and receive the outcome digitally within 3 days. No more travelling to a mission, no more paper forms, no more queues, and no more delaying job creation.
I look forward to soon welcoming the first airplane of tourists who would otherwise not have come to our country due to visa struggles. Research shows that for every 12 new tourists facilitated through TTOS, one new job can be created.
The digital transformation of Home Affairs is creating jobs, jobs and more jobs! 🇿🇦
@HeidiGiokos Will be watching with interest - the UIF is so useless , it should be placed under administration. Just like Cosatu had asked for last year. There is absolutely no form of efficiency with UIF
@Jozee25@Rochelle__Meyer I agree with you Joseph. This is my gut feeling too. I think they knew each other and had a thing going. He wasn’t a stranger to her
