@LuanHanratty I'm sure I heard something about a box which was held in the bowl of the lighthouse under lock n key which included instructions along the lines of 'only to be opened in the event of invasion/ occupation re: WWII. Could Port of Tyne could shed some light on ( pardon the pun)๐
@LuanHanratty I pointed out the dolls head to some visitors a few months back Luan. I thought I was being quite canny but I was just met with a bit of a Glakey look! Best kept to us locals I reckon! Its fairly well worn now but has certainly stood the test of time. Good knowledge thanks๐
@NE5westend Rambo Reilly, tallest bloke on the pitch who was able to make himself smaller when he jumped - an incredible talent! Wes Saunders always seemed to be sporting a black eye but not sure this was a result of being on the pitch?
@NE5westend I was there. Police wete very poor to put it mildly. Tgey wouldnt open one of the empty buffer sections of terrace even though there were2 between us and Spurs fans. I watched most of the game stood on an upturned programme kiosk watching the Tellys in their exec boxes!
@NTCouncilTeam Handy if the gutters could be cleared or repaired while they're up there. Dripping constantly when we had a bit of wet weather the other night don't want the good restoration work to be undone ๐
@5weetcheeks All pretty tame stuff compared to what I hear nowadays. I sound old. Also I'd be long left school by the time E17 were around๐Radio 1 wouldnt play George Michaels I want your sex back in 87 - sheesh!!
@TynemouthPool @Tynegall @TWhitleyBay1 Spent lots of time there as a bairn and would like to see it restored. Nostalgia for another day. I assume the structure forms part of the sea defence and would be one of the first things to address but how would inundation from High Tides and water filtration be tackled?
Worth clearing the weed and grass down at Browns Bay last year to make room for this๐ I'm sure there's more areas across NT in addition to those that have already been identified/sown which would benefit ? @NTCouncilTeam@TWhitleyBay1#wildflowers
Prep well underway for this weekends #MouthoftheTyne Festival. Not a huge fan of Sophie E B but was a bit partial to the one about Burgers on me Dads floor! #Chiselton
