@AB_FactCheck Did this college instructor point out that the lower mainland of BC runs out as gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel in eleven days if the TMX pipeline is turned off?

Alberta, this is our next step—together. Option 2 means more control, more say, and a united push for our future. It’s not about closing doors, but opening new ones for all Albertans. Stand up and shape what comes next. #AlbertasChoice
The Pathways agreement imposes billions more in taxpayer costs for a project that will not earn Alberta oil a premium in world markets.
And this comes on top of the roughly $40 billion in new spending the Smith and Carney governments have committed taxpayers to support for a new possible pipeline to the Pacific.
More subsidies. More debt. More inflationary spending.
At a time when families are struggling to afford groceries, housing and utilities, governments are choosing costly political projects over affordability. https://t.co/70SdJ6Dt1R
🔔Reminder to La Crete Residents: Stage 1 Water Restrictions went into effect starting May 1 until September 30 for the Hamlet of La Crete. Annual restrictions are normal measure for many locations in Alberta and Canada. For more info & restrictions visit: https://t.co/8jOB4FxlCA
Albertans work, build, invest and create wealth.
Ottawa takes billions more from us than it returns—and the total keeps growing every second.
Imagine what Alberta could build if more of our own money stayed here.

Alberta can do better.
The affordability crisis will not be solved by piling one costly government agreement on top of another.
First, taxpayers are obligated to support approximately $40 billion in new spending for a Pacific pipeline.
Now they face billions more for Pathways carbon capture—a project oil executives acknowledge will not produce a premium price for Alberta oil.
No affordability relief. No market return. Just more subsidies, debt and risk transferred to the public. https://t.co/70SdJ6Dt1R
We have found where Thomas Lukaszuk and Forever Canada get their marching orders from on referendum TPA financial transparency and reporting!
This is Canada.
Alberta can do better.
🇨🇦 Canada is in recession.
Here’s what Liberals spent your money on: 🤷🏽
📍🇺🇦 Ukraine 25.5 Billion 💰
📍 CBC — $1.4B/year 📺
📍 FIFA World Cup — $1.066B - $82M per game ⚽
📍 Whale protection — $258M 🐋
📍 Northvolt — $7B bankrupt 💀
📍 Spaceport — $50K/day for a concrete slab 🚀
📍 VW subsidy — $13B
📍 Stellantis — $500M then they left anyway ✈️
📍 Carbon capture — $30B nobody else is building
📍 Creative exports — $95M for “storytellers” 🎭
📍 Latvia military — €64M 🪖
📍 Deficit doubled under Carney 📈
Canada is now in recession.
Coincidence ? 🇨🇦

Alberta should not have to pay tolls inside Canada to export its own resources.
Yet that is where this pipeline deal leads: more costs, more conditions, more government debt, and less control for Alberta.
Option 1 means more of this.
Option 2 means Alberta can do better.
The heat capacity of the entire atmosphere is equal to just the top 3.5 meters of the world's oceans.
Below this surface lies Earth’s true thermal vault. Earth is a water planet, and the oceans cover 71% of the surface to an average depth of 2.3 miles. Global ocean currents carry warm waters from the deep tropics to the northern hemisphere, before returning after a round trip of 1,000 years.
Without these currents, northern Europe would be a glacial wilderness, just like Greenland.
The scale is colossal. Warm waters from the Roman warm period (240 BC to 400 AD) are still returning to the mid-latitudes. The atmosphere, by comparison, is a gaseous envelope that retains almost no thermal energy, holds a tiny fraction of the planet's carbon, and is largely controlled by ocean dynamics.
The deep Pacific itself is so massive that only now it is receiving the cold waters from the Little Ice Age. We aren't starting from scratch; we are mid-cycle in a 4.6-billion-year-old time machine.
We’ve also reinvented 'climate'. Once, it was a word for the local weather of robins and sparrows. Now it's a global ideological abstraction. We’ve lost our admiration for the natural world. We count CO₂ in parts per million while ignoring the satellite-proven greening of the Sahel.
It’s time to move past the light breezes and offshore winds and look into the ocean depths for answers. Ask yourself, is the 1.4°C warming since 1850 really an unprecedented crisis?
Albertans should read this carefully.
The pipeline deal is being sold as a breakthrough, but the details show something very different: Alberta is being offered conditional access to its own markets, while Ottawa keeps control and Alberta carries the costs.
That is not fairness. That is the problem. We can do better.

Do you know who loves the NDP economic blockade the most? Our international competitors, who are shipping tankers up and down along British Columbia's northern coast as we speak. They want nothing more than this self-sabotage to continue.
Look at the proof. In their new MOU with Ottawa, the NDP explicitly locked in their permanent blockade of the North Coast. The Premier went on record declaring there is "no way" he will ever let a northern pipeline corridor go through.
This is economic self-sabotage at the hands of the NDP. Our deep-water northern ports are the closest gateway to Asian markets in North America, offering a shorter Pacific crossing and lower shipping costs. A northern corridor would bring billions in private investment, thousands of construction jobs, and long-term tax revenues to northern communities devastated by forestry job losses.
Northern ports are capable of servicing modern tankers equipped with extremely sophisticated spill prevention systems and modern navigation technology.
Yet the NDP chose to enforce a blockade on the north instead.
They are actively forcing our energy sector into longer, costlier southern routes that will cut through vital farmland just to satisfy a room full of activists. The NDP has no right to keep our economy hostage.
Our province shouldn't be running at a record $13.3 billion deficit just to make career activists happy at the expense of working families and our economy. It's time to break the blockade, open our trade corridors and free British Columbia's prosperity.
People tell us that Alberta leaving Canada will cause business to flee. Can’t do that if there are no businesses left. Alberta has to get out before the country crashes into the side of a mountain!
Critics say an independent Alberta would be “landlocked.”
That misses the reality.
B.C. depends on Alberta energy to help fuel the Lower Mainland, and on Alberta highways and rail lines to move goods east.
Alberta is not without leverage. We are without control because of Ottawa.
Independence changes that. Alberta can do better.
