Compassion takes a JUMBO step forward with the arrival of mechanical elephant, Airavatham at Sri Sakthi Vinayagar Temple in Chennai! 🐘💚   

Sri Sakthi Vinayagar Temple is the 21st temple in India using a life-size mechanical elephant donated by PETA India that mimics a real elephant, including moving its trunk, tail, ears, and eyes.  

This remarkable contribution, supported by actor @SonuSood and his son, Ayaan Sood in collaboration with PETA India and @PFCII ensures temple rituals can continue safely without subjecting real elephants to captivity, chains, or stress. The initiative helps keep devotees safe and allows real elephants to thrive in their natural habitats.    

Chief General Manager of Ordinance Clothing Factory, Chennai, Shri B.S.Reddy IOFS; Chairman of the temple, Sri S.S. Murugan IOFS; and temple devotees joined the festivities of this milestone event.
