@joshuarcsball HUAC certainly had its place in gov. Anti-communist committees date back to rise of Bolshevik activity. HUAC became a standing committee. Their work captured a large portion of public interest. Never had the longevity of Jedi.

@joshuarcsball Not a religious order. Children were certainly indoctrinated to be anti-communist but that wasn’t HUAC itself. Several politicians built a career off of HUAC or general anti-communist sentiment.

@joshuarcsball Nothing illegal about being Communist or advocating that point of view. But HUAC persecuted them all the same. Jedi similar to HUAC in motivation and rhetoric. Nothing like them organizationally speaking.

@joshuarcsball HUAC fits a bit better because the Jedi weren’t looking to overthrown an entire system. They wanted to remove specific people from the system. But def strong IRGC vibes with forcibly maintaining a certain order.
